Legacy MMA Coronavirus Update—We’re Open!
/We teach our students focus and dedication. We also teach them to not fear getting knocked down because the best thing to do is to keep going. It is understandable if you’re feeling anxious about the current state our country over the Coronavirus. But I want to caution you to not fall into fear and anxiety and remain calm. We’re glass half full here at Legacy MMA. We focus on the facts and follow the guidelines set forth by governing bodies. The good news is that Gwinnett County compared to surrounding counties, has fewer confirmed cases.
We know that digital learning days (DLD) can be hard on parents who still have to report to work. Legacy MMA focuses on the entire family. That’s why we made the decision at the moment to stay open. We are taking extreme measures to maintain a healthy environment by following Bright from the Start and CDC guidelines. Anyone who enters any of our three locations (Sugar Hill, Buford, or Braselton) will be required to sanitize their hands. Your children will wash their hands often while staying with us and we will clean and disinfect surfaces several times throughout the day. We will remain hypervigilant during this period.
Students don’t get free play the entire time they’re with us. We ask that parents send their students with devices (laptops or tablets) to complete DLD assignments. We know DLD puts a lot of burden on parents, so we aim to help alleviate that. Once students finish their daily assignments, we’ll have fun activities to occupy their time.
We will open at 7:30 am and close by 6:30 pm. Please send students with snacks, lunches, and drinks. We will not be taking students on field trips during this time. This applies to the weeks of March 16 through March 27, 2020. March 30-April 3, 2020 is Spring Break for Gwinnett County Schools and as of now, we plan to remain open.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to email us. If you want to register your student to attend, the fastest way to do that is to call us. 678-541-5254
