Aiming for the Best!

It’s hard to believe we’ve made it to the last full week in June! We’ve had so much fun with our campers this year despite outside challenges. Our focus this week is aim. We teach our campers and our (after school) karate students that they should aim high. It gives them something to work toward. Field trips and activities for this week are designed to help them physically do that, but also mentally focus on the target and do the work needed to accomplish whatever they want. Here’s our lineup for this week.

Monday, June 22, 2020—Stars and Strikes

While the kids have fun playing arcade games on Mondays, what they’re really doing is improving their hand-eye coordination. This helps develop better reaction time when they need to defend themselves. These games also help them stay competitive when they play against other campers. That and the kids have loads of fun too. Sometimes, we join them.

Tuesday, June 23, 2020—Axe Master Throwing and Nerf Wars!

Our campers get to practice their aim today with Axe Master Throwing. If your child attended our Halloween party year, he/she may have already tried it. It’s fun and safe (foam axes), although we do ask that campers wear closed-toe shoes today. The goal is to aim and throw the ax in the middle, hitting the bullseye. This also encourages healthy competition that drives our campers to always perform better and compete against themselves.

We like doing this for Parents Night Out (PNO), but it’s fun for summer camp too! Send your camper(s) with their nerf gun for a day full of fun! No need to send them with Nerf bullets. We have plenty. Campers get to safely practice their aim on each other. We’ll also teach them how to be safe and strategic tactics. Some of our staff proudly served in the armed forces and just might share some real-world tactics. We’ll set up a course to make it extra fun while still educational.

Wednesday, June 24, 2020—Nitro Zone

We’re headed to Nitro Zone today! Please make sure to sign the waiver.

Thursday, June 25, 2020—Skate Country
We’re back at Skate Country today! Campers get to continue perfecting their coordination but this time with their legs.  It’s fun exercise our campers love so much, we have to do it weekly!

Friday, June 26, 2020—Water Inflatable Day

Send campers wearing swimsuits and apply sunscreen before camp. They’ll be outside sliding down our extra-large inflatable slides and playing in the water. They’re practices balance and traction today, building those leg muscles.

Kids Karate

Remember we still have kids karate classes over the summer. Classes are more relaxed. Uniforms are not required. After our field trips, all campers participate in karate class. Summer karate is a good way to introduce your child(ren) to the sport. Our after school karate is more disciplined because we work towards belts and competitions.  Summer is just easy practice.
